At our cottages you will unwind, relax and find peace and tranquillity as you gaze at the ocean from every living space in your cottage. Self Catering Cottage Gairloch
Located in the sleepy crofting township of Melvaig, near Gairloch, Otterburn is nestled under a little hill. The “last house before the lighthouse” has breathtaking sea-views and amazing night skies where the Milky-Way is clearly visible.
Modern, fully equipped, fully renovated cottages, where you can recharge and rejuvenate, as you disconnect from the ’24 hour on’ society, while watching the ever changing seascapes over the sea to Skye.
The Cottages offer access to Melvaig’s pebble beach (only 100 metres away down the cliff bank) and the most stunning views of Skye, Rona and Raasay. In fact Otterburn got it’s name from the little burn directly behind the house which the otter uses for navigation, as it heads down to the beach for it’s supper.
If it is peace and quiet you are after then Otterburn will deliver, the last house in the hamlet and nothing to disturb you in the private garden. Expect for gannets diving into the sea, sea eagles soaring over head, red deer roaring on the croft, the most amazing dark skies and glimpses of the aurora as you watch it all from the comfort of the sofa in your spacious conservatory (which runs the length of the cottages).
Each cottage offers a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Remember all living spaces in the cottages have spectacular sea-views which you will find yourself watching for hours. Yet Melvaig, Gairloch and Wester Ross have so much more to offer, to get some more ideas please look at our page Top 10 Things To Do.
